Sichuan Changhong Battery Co., Ltd. Had Formally Passed The Certification of IRIS
Sichuan Changhong Battery Co., Ltd. began trial operation of International Railway Industry Standard (short for IRIS) since the end of 2012, and formally passed the certification of IRIS on June 24th, 2015, then received the IRIS certificate issued by Bureau Veritas Certification who has an accreditation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021:2006 and an IRIS approval. The IRIS certificate is suitable for power system, nickel cadmium battery and lithium ion battery which are designed, developed and manufactured by Changhong Battery.
The IRIS standard had been issued on the basis of ISO9001: 2008 by European Union of Railway to put into practice on May 18th, 2006, which was aimed at the special requirements of railway industry. This standard was drafted by UNIFE and received hugely supporting and vigorously promotion from four biggest system manufacturers (Bormbardier, Siemens, Alstom and AnsadoBred) in the world. And the standard is specially aimed at the international railway industry represented by European to evaluate its management system. At present, our company is the only one manufacturer of nickel cadmium battery with IRIS certificate in China.
Sichuan Changhong Battery Co., Ltd. one after another has passed the ISO9001 quality management system certification, ISO14001 environmental management system certification, OHSAS18001 occupational health and safety management system certification, IRIS certification, EN61373 impact and vibration test of rolling stock equipment standard product type approval certificate, the burning test and burning concomitancy phenomenon of rail vehicles material test according to DIN54837:2003 and classified according to DIN5510-2:2003, and CRCC railways product certificate issued by China railway inspection certification center, and IEC60623 and IEC62259 nickel cadmium battery product certificate issued by the German Rhine company. Since 1998 when Changhong Battery was founded, Changhong brand railway battery has been widely used in Beijing subway line No. 1 and line No. 2, Shanghai metro line No. 1, 2, Dalian metro line No. 1, 2, and locomotive projects exported to Australia, Argentina, New Zealand, Sudan, Turkmenistan and so on.
